Beki and I responded to a call from Rachel at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center in Portgae, AK for a swan that's injured and on the side of the highway. We arrived after an hours drive to find he had moved off of the road and hiding in the bushes. Beki spotted him and with the help of Doug Lindstrand we captured him and then brought him back to Bird TLC. The temperature was 27° with a brisk wind. I'm not sure what wind chill temp was but it was cold.
