BE 09-31 : BE 09-31 is a mature bald eagle that was rescued by Alaska Sealife Center volunteers in Seward, Alaska. It is believed he had been shot earlier this summer with the bullet taking off a large section of its upper beak. The bird was brought to Bird TLC right after it was rescued. The following pictures are of Bird TLC efforts to rebuild this birds beak.

Tube feeding a golden eagle : We recieved a golden eagle from King Salmon. X-rays showed no ijuries or forein objects. Odds are he injested something that was very toxic. To keep his strength up, he's tube fed until he'll eat on his own.

Osprey : This osprey came to us earlier this summer. It's nest was destroyed by a forest fire and it was burned on the legs and had a broken wing. It's not a releasable bird, so it won't get to migrate. It needed a larger mew that was well insulated and heated to stay above 32°F. Hopefully it will become part of our education program.
